The Long Battles of Revolution
We sound the trumpets. We march through gritty streets
Filled with the smoky mists emitting from the manholes.
We are armed and prepared to do battle
We intimidate our opposition through boldness and persistence
Never holding back for anybody
Continuously pushing forward.
We are the minority movements, an effective plague on both their houses.
We obey instinct and the laws of nature… as the man once said with a dual nature
(When he moved from the temple of thought to the cabana of the citizens’ leader)
We will not submit to the controlling ways of supply and demand functions.
The rules of algebra doesn’t apply here… except that we are the x-factor
So, what if people see us? Or who cares if they raise eyebrows and bury Bibles? Telling us to keep order
We march to our own anthems that play incessantly in our minds.
They tell us to push forward and never look behind the plow marks that Eurydice follows
We march.
We cry out. We
Push
Shove
Demand
Preach
Advocate
Sing
Change
Motivate
Inspire. We do it all
Without any clear direction whatsoever.
