Fantasies of the Minimal House
I We enter into the dancehall. Everyone else is in character as the High Protectorate of the Jezebel Wardrobe. However, I noticed you in the crowd and all uncertainty into the air of flashing lights and pulsing beats. You stand out among the rest trying to find rebellion and a cheap lover. You are exquisite in your ways (and I can see that). Exchange glances and smiles, for you noticed me before those qualities (and it hasn’t flattered away with the olive branch underneath the husks). We appear to transcend time and imagine courtly doves except we are lousy dancers since we never truly follow a set sequence. Our eyes radiate like stars. II We drift into corners and dark places for they are a shield and buckler for private moments. However, we are mentally driven into thinking of a deathly pendulum over our heads ready to swipe and bleed for the death of the swine. But we speak in fluent voices since the guard is nowhere nearby. Then, after a moment of silence and the direction looked blurry, I came close to deliver a whispered message. “Let us play with time.” Puzzlement comes to your face but you let me take your delicate hand for a … III …journey through a rip in space and time. We step inside just before the earpiece caught sight of us. Now we are surrounded by colours, moods, experiences, ideas and art. We are without borders, without limits and free from the use of punctuation marks. For now, all we see is each other with more grandeur and more majestic than all the possessions of Solomon. As if we are sheltered by a beautiful embassy, we expressed something magical and beautiful. For we see clearly now and all the blackness of life melts away to reveal the crystal. My quest is over (so it seems). The prize has been won among the fields and gazelles.
