The Spring Constant of Physics is F=kd
Sometimes there is a need to break free
From the surely bonds of earth, education and politics
For we are dreadfully sick from writing dissertations
about this guy’s fifteen minutes and that guy’s hour of stage fretting;
Suddenly we look out into the windows
To see an idyllic paradise preserved under permission
from standing committees and budget directories
and an letter of acceptance in hand, staring into a possibility and a future
wondering where we lie in the countdown exponential function,
for we are dreadfully tired.
And still
We can continue on for the number keep adding up
but sooner or later, we will approach the limit
for time approaches infinity…
and we are fast approaching zero.

Information: The equation above is actually Hooke's Law stating that the force of a spring over the stretch distance of the spring is a constant. The creative twist to the equation is credited to Matt Park during AP Calculus [BC] class.
