She Died in the Oven

A choice made
On her part
Had adverse effects
Without knowing it.

The pressure mounts
And depression drags
Through downward spirals,
Distorted reality,

Leading to inability
To function normally
She cries for
Her children daily

She cries for
Release from bondage
Of daddy and
Passionate, gluttonous masters

And her wish
Was granted when
The dial turned,
The flames churned,

The world melts
The pain numb,
The tears evaporated
And all’s well.
