Welcome to the High Fidelity Discussion Hour!

MISSION STATEMENT
I got the idea for the show during senior year in high school when I decided one of the activities worth pursuing is working for WCWM 90.7 FM, the official radio station for the College of William and Mary in Virginia. I wanted to do something that express my love of music, not just particular artists or genres but music in general. Plus I felt that there needed to be a show that has personality and style blending with the music.

The name does correlate with the movie High Fidelity. One of the things I love about the movie (and maybe the reason why - like Rob Gordon - I have romance problems) is the discussions about music, whether it's a style, a song or just the scene in general. I knew that it's something I haven't done a lot except in my head and amongst my personal archives on computer. Until now...

I want this to be a show where music and discussion come together. And with that in mind, I issue the following...

RULES OF LISTENING

• As far as requests, I will not honor requests on the air since the show is pre-planned and I try to honor that. However, if there is a particular request, give it to me (through CD, MD or LP) as well as any other information that I request (such as profanity content). I will set aside a fifteen-minute block where I play just the requested songs (unless I happen to know one of them very well).
• I honor phone calls ONLY WHEN MUSIC IS PLAYING. Since the phone is not connected to the board like in a more professional radio station, I can't make calls on the air. Also I consider it disrespectful to me when I'm speaking, especially when I do a public service announcement. Besides, you should never your microwave unattended...
• I also honor e-mails to djproject@djproject.cc regarding the show.
• I will make appropriate amendments and changes that time goes on (since I'm the producer of my own show)
